Summary of Responsibilities: The Administrative Assistant is responsible for supporting Dégagé’s Business Director, Development Director, Engagement Director, Executive Director, and the Leadership Team.
Reports to: Staff Business Director Hours: 40 hours per week Salary: $40,000.

Employees will be asked to sign a Statement of Faith at time of employment.
Qualifications and Requirements: · A strong commitment to Christ and to serving Him through word and deed.
· The ability to work with and encourage people from all areas of the social spectrum.
· The ability to set the example by treating those whom we serve with dignity and respect.
· The ability to convey with passion the goals and vision of Degage.
· The ability and desire to be a team player, working to fulfill the mission statement of Dégagé alongside of other staff members.
· Strong time-management skills and multitasking ability.
· Always maintains confidentiality, showing discretion and diplomacy.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint · Proficiency in Teams, and other pertinent computer software.
· Basic understanding of Bookkeeping; QuickBooks knowledge preferred.
· Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
· Experience managing event logistics.
· Experience with volunteer programming preferred.
· Payroll Experience of 2-5 years preferred Specific Responsibilities: · Assist the Business Director in completing the preemployment checklist including completing background checks and creating employee folders.
· Work with the Business Director to prepare for new staff orientation; including preparing orientation packets and gifts for new employees.
· Support the Business Director in completing the HR file for every employee post orientation.
· Support Business Director in completing departure checklist for all employees that have ended their time with the organization.
· Support the Engagement Director as the initial contact and support for volunteers.
· Manage employee payroll records including deductions and tax information using Paychex payroll software.
Provide reports as needed to employees, authorized agencies, and auditors.
· Collect and review Paychex time reports and submit payroll on a bi-weekly basis.
· Assist the Business Director in performing the monthly payroll reconciliation.
· Support Leadership Team by maintaining several calendars.
· Support the Advancement Center Receptionist by providing back up support for incoming phone calls and inquiries.
· Support the Business Director in counting community center kitchen cash and change as well as Thrift on Div cash while also updating and maintaining income logs.
· Support the Executive Director in preparing for meetings and sending out the Degage Today.
· Support the Development Team in preparing for and execution of fundraising events.
· Support the Development Director and Engagement Director by managing initial inquiries from potential volunteers, including completing background checks, entering a profile into Mission Tracker, connecting them to the program manager in the area they will be volunteering, and management of reporting volunteer numbers and hours.
· Establish efficient office systems including filing, handling, and disposing of confidential information and recycling in accordance with Dégagé policies.
· Attend staff meetings and other meetings as appropriate.
· Help complete each employee departure checklist.
· Participate in staff development and training sessions when appropriate.
· Attend special events as requested.
