Pay Rate: $18.

SUMMARY OF POSITION: The incumbent is responsible to and provides secretarial support services to the Curriculum Coordinators ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS - Essential functions under the Americans with Disabilities Act may include any of the following duties, knowledge and skills.

Other essential functions may include, but are not limited to the following: JOB FUNCTIONS: Assists with duties requested daily Answers telephone for the office staff, assists principals, parents, staff and community.
Directs calls to the correct contact person within the District.
Summarizes and prioritizes phone messages for administrator Schedules meetings, organizes and prioritizes all communications Assists in preparation and organization of all meetings and special in-services.
Prepares/types materials, assembles packets for each person, arranges scheduling of speakers, and details for meetings Assists with the organization of all meetings Process department newsletter as scheduled Processes payroll for staff.
Also processes numerous supplemental time sheets from schools confirming the account numbers and rates of pay Maintains and monitors budgets for assigned areas Distributes mail, types correspondence, processes purchase orders, and supply requisitions Responsible for developing work systems that provide effective organization and quality work Interacts with co-workers, administration, students, parents & the community in positive, supportive and cooperative ways Maintain a neat and orderly office space Performs other duties as assigned This description describes the type and level of work performed by a person assigned to this position.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or equivalent required.
One year of successful previous secretarial experience.
Experience with a variety of office equipment Demonstrated experience working with computers, required working knowledge of Windows based programs (Word, Excel, Publisher and PowerPoint), required.
Working knowledge of the District’s e-mail, payroll and financial systems, preferred or the willingness and ability to learn ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Possess excellent public relations/communication skills, both written and verbal Demonstrated excellent organizational skills Demonstrated ability to work well with school District employees, parents, students and community members Demonstrated ability to work well as a team member Demonstrated ability to work in a diverse environment Desire to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
Possess accurate typing skills Ability to work independently and "on task" Demonstrated excellent attendance and punctuality Ability to handle diverse projects in a limited amount of time Demonstrated flexibility and initiative ADA REQUIREMENTS: The physical demands, work environment factors, and mental functions described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
