The HR Support Coordinator performs a variety of administrative duties.
Responsibilities include creating a positive new hire experience through onboarding new employees as well as supporting the Talent Acquisition Team and the Wedgwood Learning Institute.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform general administrative functions in support of members of the Human Resources Department, including responding to visitors and HR phone calls.
Manage the employee onboarding process by creating a positive new hire experience by assisting new staff with the new hire electronic paperwork, background checks, verifications of degrees initial credentialing process, preparing badges, and communicating start dates with appropriate staff and leaders.
Ensure personnel file compliance in accordance with licensing standards, agency policy and all other applicable standards, rules, regulations, etc.
through established procedures.
Ensure a smooth transition from the new employee onboarding their first day of orientation.
Maintain the employee probation removal process.
Assist with the Wedgwood Learning Institute Great Starts and Leadership Development programs, including setup, tear down, scheduling, and communications, as needed.
Provide back-up for residential direct care new hires’ initial Relias training and agency tour.
Assist with completing applicant references and back-ground checks as needed.
Assist with passive talent outreach needs for potential candidates for difficult to fill positions as needed.
Assist in reviewing resumes, invite potentially qualified applicants to apply both internally and externally as needed.
Assist the HR Team with recognition and retention initiatives.
Identify and complete new projects that will help the HR department to operate more effectively and efficiently.
Promote effective communication throughout the Human Resources Department and with other Wedgwood employees as related to the work performed in the above listed areas.
Serve as the primary backup for the pre-hire processes completed by the HR Administrative Coordinator.
Attend department, talent acquisition, and other meetings, as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
At least 2 years in an Administrative Assistant role required.
1-year of prior experience within Human Resources highly preferred.
Must have strong organization skills with high attention to detail.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced working environment with flexibility to change.
Excellent computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Human Resources Databases.
Must perform job duties with integrity and confidentiality.
Subscription to the Statement of Faith of Wedgwood Christian Services, and agreement with the goal, purpose, and objectives of the agency.
