Production Associate

* The Production Associate is a multifaceted role responsible for a variety of tasks within the production, inventory, and shipment processes.
This position entails working across various production lines, aiding in flavor production, overseeing inventory control, managing incoming and outgoing shipments, completing wholesale orders, handling shipping logistics, facilitating and at times performing local deliveries, and ensuring a clean and safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities: General Production: * Works on different production lines and assists with prep work and flavor production.
* Cross-trains in various production jobs to ensure adaptability and flexibility within the production environment.
Inventory Control: * Maintains inventory levels of shipping materials, products, and supplies, promptly alerting the manager of low stock.
* Participates in quarterly physical inventory counts and maintains weekly inventories as assigned.
Receiving: * Receives incoming goods according to procedures, checks for damages or shortages, and routes items to the appropriate departments.
* Processes paperwork and stocks received items, ensuring proper rotation of stock.
* Assists in receiving green coffee shipments and warehouse organization.
Picking and Shipping Orders: * Carefully picks and marks items for orders, handles packaging ensuring safe shipment, and prepares necessary paperwork.
* Determines suitable shipping methods, resolves shipping issues promptly, and files claims for lost/damaged products.
* Prepares orders for pick-ups, deliveries, and shipments.
Deliveries: * Responsible for delivering orders to local customers, offering assistance and resolving queries while maintaining customer service excellence.
* Collects payments for COD customers and handles related administrative procedures.
Cleaning: * Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of the work area, ensuring a safe production space.
* Performs routine cleaning and maintenance tasks, including upkeep of company owned vehicles.
Qualifications: * Detail-oriented with a strong emphasis on accuracy and time management.
* Quality-focused mindset and ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, and reach comfortably.
* Prior shipping experience, familiarity with the UPS system is a plus.
* Possession of a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

(Sparrows Coffee on Plainfield too!) * This is a Monday-Friday role with the exception of Black Friday and select weekends in December where overtime may be required This role requires a proactive individual capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining safety and quality standards across various operational aspects of production, inventory, and shipment management.
