IVF Michigan Fertility Center is seeking a part-time or full time phlebotomist/ lab assistant in Andrology and Endocrinology Department in Grand Rapids office.
IVF Michigan Fertility Center is one of the leading fertility clinics with over 60 years of collective experience and has locations in Bloomfield Hills, Ann Arbor, Dearborn, and Saginaw, Macomb and Toledo, OH and Lansing.
We are looking for a responsible lab assistant to carry out sampling, testing, measuring, recording and analyzing in cooperation with the rest of the lab team.
The successful candidate should have experience in a laboratory environment and accuracy in order to extract reliable and valid results.
*Orientation will be done in Bloomfield office.

*Responsibilities*
* Phlebotomy
* Facilitate the collection, processing, and shipping of urine/semen/oral/blood specimens
* Prepare samples/specimens for testing
* Processes lab orders and create labels
* Distributes laboratory reports
* Produce accurate and reliable data and interpret results
* Follow methodologies in carrying routine tasks
* Document all activities, record results and insert/retrieve data
* Maintain work area and equipment
* Perform daily quality controls and calibrations for the tests to be performed
* Maintain proper documentation for CLIA, COLA, FDA and other government/accreditation agencies
* Perform tests based on the SOP
* Data entry to EMR/ LIS systems
* Receiving & sending frozen specimen
* Provide administrative assistance
* Follow departmental policies to correctly identify the patient before any sample is obtained
* Follow Universal Precautions and all OSHA standards when handling specimens
* Strictly adhere to HIPAA guidelines
* Maintain neat, clean, orderly patient/work areas always
* Demonstrate customer service and compassion when interacting with patients, physicians, and clinic staff
*Skills*
* Proven working experience as a lab assistant or technician in a clinical lab
* Familiarity with automated laboratory equipment
* Computer literacy and experience with Laboratory Information Systems
* Accuracy and close attention to detail
* Strong analytical judgement
* Current license or relevant certification (optional)
* Associate degree in Clinical Science, Medical Technology, Biology or related field
The candidate must have a US citizenship or a working visa without any sponsorship.
