What you’ll do
The Memory Care Manager provides leadership and support for team members giving care to residents and ensures the unique needs of each resident are met with the highest degree of quality care.
Leadership:
Assumes the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability for team members.
Supervise, interview, train, provide discipline, and annual feedback to team members.
Partner with Caregiver Retention Specialist ensuring successful on-boarding & training for new team members.
Operations:
Works in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team on resident care plans.
Participates in family communications and care conferences.
Ensures required staffing coverage by partnering with the Scheduling Coordinator.
Oversee the payroll functions for the department.
Plans, implements, and evaluates both individual and group activities as needed.
Oversees meal service for the residents.
Caregiving:
Assists residents with activities of daily living, as needed.
Assists residents in preparing for activities and social programs and transporting as needed.
Interacts with residents while structuring their day and monitoring their needs.
Ensures accurate documentation in resident’s charts.
What it takes
Bachelor's Degree in a health field with a major in management or administration, or a relevant combination of experience, education, or training.
Five (5) years of related experience with at least two (2) years supervisory experience.
One (1) year experience working in a Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living, or Adult Foster Care (AFC Home) environment.
