The School of Business and Innovation (SB&I) at Cornerstone University is accepting applications for qualified creativity and innovation adjunct faculty to teach courses on campus in Grand Rapids, Michigan in their Creativity and Innovation Honors Institute (CIHI).
About the Creativity and Innovation Honors Institute: CIHI is a unique program designed specifically for high-achieving academically excellent students to receive a classical liberal arts education integrated with content in creativity and innovation.
The mission of CIHI is “redeeming the world one creative act at a time”.
Requirements and Responsibilities for Applicants: The ideal candidate would be an interdisciplinary thinker with an educational background in innovation and creativity such as a degree in the humanities, education, psychology, engineering, fine arts, or business.
Candidates should be educated or experienced in Design Thinking and Human Centered Design, be committed to excellence in various methods of undergraduate teaching (i.
e.
, Problem-Based Learning, experiential learning, etc.
), able to use interdisciplinary topic reports to help students look at life topics from multiple perspectives, and have knowledge regarding creative mindsets, habits, and aptitudes.
Teaching in the School of Business and Innovation: To teach in the SB&I adjunct faculty must have a master’s degree or doctorate degree.
In addition to the degree requirement, adjunct faculty must have professional experience within the field he or she aspires to teach in.
About the School of Business and Innovation: The SB&I is home to a range of business programs including (but not limited to) accounting, business leadership, creativity & innovation, economics, finance, human resources (HR), management, marketing, nonprofit leadership, organizational development, and sport management.
These programs are associate’s degrees, bachelor’s degrees, master’s degrees, and doctoral degrees.
The SB&I is fully accredited by the ACBSP and the HLC; ensuring continuous improvement within its world-class programs.
