Instructor/Assistant Professor of Mechanical or Civil Engineering
Cornerstone University is seeking a full time, tenure-track, 9-month teaching faculty for our new engineering program.
We are a conservative Christian University located in Grand Rapids, MI.
Desired start date: April 2024.
Candidates should be able to teach introductory engineering courses including engineering drafting / CAD and upper-level courses such as machine design 1 and 2, heat transfer, vibrations, fluids, and dynamics.
The faculty member will supervise senior research projects of the engineering students.
Other responsibilities include management of our engineering lab, professional engagement in the candidate's specialization area, academic advising, student recruitment, course and program assessment, and other departmental duties as assigned.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching.

Requirements and Responsibilities:
A successful candidate will possess a master’s or doctorate in Mechanical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering.
Or if you have a BS in these engineering disciplines, several years of work-related experience, and a desire to pursue your Master’s, please apply for further discussion.
Physical requirements include the ability to teach 12 credits/semester of classes and labs on campus, use computers, operate lab equipment, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
Candidates will be asked if they are authorized to work in the US.
Salary Range: $68,000 - $78,000/year for a 9-month teaching contract, and commensurate with education and experience.
