*High School Spanish Teacher *
*JOB SUMMARY: * Instruct students in Spanish language skills that will contribute to their educational development while teaching the required curriculum as adopted by the Board of
Education.
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * _other duties may be assigned _
● Instruct students in citizenship and basic subject matter as specified in state law and administrative regulations and procedures of the school district
● Teach district-approved curriculum
● Translate lesson plans into developmentally appropriate learning experiences
● Communicate regularly with parents outside of the normal classroom day by means of newsletters, notes, phone calls, conferences, etc.
● Evaluate student academic and social growth
● Keep appropriate records and prepare progress reports
● Identify student needs, make appropriate referrals, and develop strategies for individual education plans
*QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: *
● Highly qualified to teach high school students at all grade levels
● Well-versed in best practice instruction methods
● Expertise in differentiated learning
● Exceptional passion for teaching and learning
● High aptitude for forming positive relationships with colleagues, students, and parents
● Ability to deliver high qualify lessons focused on student growth and state standards
● Ability to analyze student achievement data and use it for lesson design and delivery in the classroom
*EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: *
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
