Summary and Purpose:
This position is responsible for creating the College’s class schedule for two regular semesters, a winter and a summer term.
This requires coordination with faculty department chairs and various other campus offices.
The position also monitors curriculum changes and maintains the academic catalog.
Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks/Essential Functions:
Assists in the course schedule process
Provides classroom room assignments.
Assists with accurate data entry of course sections.
Assists with review and proofing of the draft schedule.
Prepares the schedule document for publication.
After initial publication of the schedule, tracks changes and additions.
At the direction of the Registrar, makes approved changes in Colleague and the published version.
Works with Conferencing to ensure proper room maintenance.
Assist Registrar with records functions for UDM program.
Monitor curriculum changes
Maintain Major/Minor/Gen Ed checklists
Responsible for the maintenance and creation of the Academic Catalog
Work with Department Chairs on editing departmental information.
Process Independent Study contracts
Assists the Registrar with projects as needed, including but not limited to semester progress reports; probation and dismissal.
Oversee the records archiving process.
Performs other job duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Education Requirements:
Must have a Bachelor's degree.
Must be proficient in Word, Excel, and the Google Suite.
Must have knowledge of Colleague or other student information systems.
Must demonstrate effective verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
Must demonstrate excellent organizational and project management skills.
Must be able to work independently and as a member of a team
At least two years of work experience in a registrar’s office preferred.
Computer programming skills preferred.
Must be able to perform all the essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
Must speak, write, and hear English clearly.
Must be able to function effectively in a busy environment with interruptions.
Constant use of computer and telephone.
Some occasional lifting (20-35 pounds).
