K-1 CLASSROOM PARAEDUCATOR
Qualifications:
Ability to relate to children in a positive manner
Ability to provide small group instruction under the direction of the classroom teacher
Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing needs and assignments
Ability to implement lesson plans as designed by the lead teacher
Willingness and commitment to equity, social justice, and inclusion in all practices
Willingness to be a cooperative team player
Knowledge of basic first aid procedures or willingness to be trained
Excellent attendance record and punctuality
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
Experience with instructional technology (preferred)
Ability to display a positive, nurturing attitude with students at all times
Willingness to use firm, but fair approach, when working with elementary-aged students
High school diploma (with college level coursework in education preferred)
Hours: Monday - Friday, 10 hours per week
Location: Wealthy Elementary School
Rate: Support Staff Contract, Paraeducator Classification, Category III

East Grand Rapids Public Schools (EGRPS) is located in beautiful West Michigan.
Our community surrounds two lakes
(Fisk & Reeds), and is only a short distance (2-3 miles) from downtown Grand Rapids and 40 minutes from Lake
Michigan.
EGRPS is a mid-size school district with approximately 2,900 K-12 students across three elementary schools, one middle
school, and one high school.
At the District Office, early childhood education and before- and after-school care are
provided to our youngest learners.
