HOURS: Position(s) is school days only for the 2023-2024 School year.
PAY: $150.
00 per day, guaranteed days

Summary:
To create a flexible program and classroom environment favorable to learning and personal growth; to establish effective rapport with students; to motivate students to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge in accordance with each student’s ability; to establish good relationships with parents and with other staff members.
Qualifications:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
Lecture, demonstrate, and uses audiovisual teaching aids to present subject matter to class.
Prepares, administers, and corrects tests, and records results.
Assigns lessons, correct papers, and hears oral presentations.
Teaches rules of conduct.
Maintains order in classroom and playground.
Counsels pupils when adjustment and academic problems arise.
Discusses pupils' academic and behavioral attitudes and achievements with parents.
Keeps attendance and grade records as required by the school.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B.
A.
) from a four-year College or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
(Preferred)
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
* Daily Substitute Permit OR
* Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate
* Meets Highly Qualified requirements, including MTTC tests.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk, hear (in a quiet or noisy environment).
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust/focus.
Work Environment:
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud to moderate.
Work is performed indoors although there will be required outdoor activities.
The employee is directly responsible for the safety, well-being, and work output of students.
Mental Functions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to compare, analyze, communicate both orally and in writing in the English language, copy, coordinate, instruct, compute, synthesize, evaluate, use interpersonal skills, and compile and negotiate.
