(M-F) Qualifications: Experience with elementary students.
Must demonstrate the ability to establish an effective rapport with children.
Must be able to work effectively with children and adults.
Must have strong knowledge of early childhood development.
Must have knowledge of appropriate discipline used for elementary students.
Must be able to work with a team in a positive manner.
Must role model good behaviors.
Must be flexible - called in as needed to fill various roles throughout the school day if interested in subbing for para educators.
Job Responsibilities: Includes, but not limited to: Works collaboratively with other paraprofessional aides.
Keeping students safe near the roadway and while crossing the road.
Supervision of elementary students at Kent City Elementary/Middle School.
If subbing, your duties may include performing duties such as a recess aide, crossing guard, and bus aide; several jobs to choose from.
Focus on safety and cooperative play.
Must focus on positive behaviors exhibited and praise appropriately.
Effective communication skills are essential.
Compensation: Per ESP contractual agreement May combine additional jobs for more hours per week if interested in subbing.
Not mandatory.
Reports to Kent City Elementary Administrator.
