Duties:
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate experiences to promote the cognitive, language, physical, social, & emotional development of children.
- Develop and follow lesson plans that align with educational standards and promotes learning through play.
- Support children in learning strategies for navigating conflict and prosocial behavior.
- Collaborate with parents and caregivers to ensure the well-being and development of each child.
- Maintain accurate records of each child's progress, including assessments, observations, and developmental milestones.
- Create a supportive and inclusive environment for children with special rights or differing abilities.
- Ensure the health, safety, education, and experiences of all children in accordance with state licensing regulations, NAEYC accreditation, Early Head Start, and Great Start Readiness Program standards.
Requirements:
* CDA Certificate (associate's or bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field preferred).
* Previous experience working with children in a licensed center based, educational setting.
* Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
* Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
* Ability to create engaging lesson plans and activities that promote learning through play.
* Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with children of different ages and backgrounds.
* Ability to adapt to changing situations and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Must be able to work collaboratively within a team.
* CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
