Position: Mathematics Teacher
Location: Portland Middle School
Portland Public Schools seeks an innovative and passionate education professional to join our teaching team to enhance the educational experience for our students.
Eligible candidates must meet the following qualifications:
Michigan Mathematics (EX) Teaching Certificate or nearing completion of teacher certification program with EX endorsement.
Working knowledge of curriculum, instruction, and assessment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
The desired candidate would possess the following attributes:
Endorsements/Certifications in other applicable areas, grades 6-12.
Knowledge of MTSS and PBIS to support student needs.
Experience in working with special needs students
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
Willingness to coach or serve as an advisor for extracurricular activities
Experience with using learning management systems
Position Details:
Title: Mathematics Teacher (7th and 8th Grade Math, potentially Algebra 1 as well)
Location: Portland Middle School
Calendar: As per District Calendar and PEA contract
Compensation: In accordance with PEA contract
