Patrick’s School.
The desired candidate will continue the current music schedule while expanding the program to develop a Middle School and High School Band and/or Choir.
This position will begin with the 24/25 school year.
The desired candidate would possess the following attributes: Knowledge of MTSS and PBIS to support student needs.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills Willingness to coach or serve as an advisor for extracurricular activities including developing programs Ability to integrate technology into teaching and learning practices Ability to handle complex and stressful issues or situations with sound judgment, common sense, and a calm demeanor Impeccable character, a good sense of humor, and compassion for students, families, and staff Eligible candidates must meet the following qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate JQ or JX Knowledge and experience in a music setting regarding curriculum development/implementation, classroom management and music theory.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must be familiar with State and Federal standards for performing arts.
Basic piano proficiency to accompany vocal performances.
Experience teaching: beginning level vocal music and reading music, introductions to instruments and performing at large ensemble capacities Position Details: Title: Part-time Music Teacher at St.
