75 hours/day, 5 days/week, 38 weeks/year Position Purpose: Under the direct supervision of a certified staff member, the paraprofessional is responsible for working as a team member to assist with students in the classroom to meet instructional goals and objectives.
This person will also have a role in certain non-instructional and concept/skill reinforcement tasks and providing students the opportunity for additional adult/student relationships.
Essential Job Functions Collaborate with Media Center Clerk to provide resources for teachers.
Demonstrate basic troubleshooting techniques.
Assist with management and distribution of student devices.
Able to support staff on how to use applications and hardware Assists with record-keeping procedures to document student learning and performance.
Assists students in non-instructional areas, such as supervising the student lunch programs, bus duty, playground duty, corridor, study hall, and other related non-instructional areas.
Constructs, copies and distribute and use educational materials as needed.
Assists students with special needs in all aspects of classroom instruction to maximize inclusion, learning, achievement if IEP objectives, etc.
Follows all applicable safety rules, procedures and regulations governing the proper manner of assistance for all students, including those with disabilities or other special needs.
Regular, reliable and punctual attendance Additional Duties: Assist guidance, pupil services staff or building administration, as needed.
Perform any other related duties as assigned.
Includes playground/lunchroom supervision.

Ability to work in an economically, culturally and racially diverse environment.
Qualifications Profile: Two years of study at an institution of higher learning (equal to 60 credits) OR Obtain an associate's degree (or higher) OR Pass an approved formal state academic assessment.
Prior experience working with students with diverse learning needs.
