Function
The High School Coordinator leads the programming ministry for the High School
Students of Peace Church.
Accountability
The High School Coordinator reports directly to the Discipleship Pastor.
Qualifications
• Have a growing relationship with Jesus and agree with Peace Church’s
statements of faith.
• Actively support the mission, vision, and leadership of Peace Church.
• Humble, Hungry, and People-Smart (see Patrick Lencioni, Ideal Team Player).
• Able to work within the organizational structure of Peace Church.
• Able to effectively manage staff and volunteer teams.
• Passionate about working with a team.
• Able to independently organize, plan, and execute projects within a deadline.
• Possess strong organizational skills.
• Possess strong conflict-management skills.
• Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexible and adaptable.
• Able to maintain confidentiality as needed.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Bible, theology, or ministry preferred.
• Align with Peace Church in reformed theology, including infant baptism.
Responsibilities
1) Sunday Night Ministry
a.
Lead and resource the volunteer leadership team.
b.
Facilitate growth group assignments.
c.
Teach in the ministry at least 75% of the time.
2) Events
a.
Fall Retreat
b.
Spring Break
c.
Summer Mission
d.
Special Events
3) Teach occasionally in the Young Adult Bible Study on Tuesday nights.
4) Participate in pastoral formation initiatives led by the pastoral staff of Peace.
Professional Expectations
• Participate as a member of the Peace Staff, attending staff chapel, retreats,
meetings, etc.
• Participate in the life of Peace Church, attending worship and important
events.
• Should be a member of Peace Church.
• Exhibit character consistent with a follower of Jesus in a church leadership
role.
