Up for sale is an Episode ES-SUB-EVO10-BLK subwoofer featuring a 10-inch main woofer and a 200-watt RMS built-in amplifier.
Peak/dynamic output is rated at 400 watts.
Its frequency response is rated at 28 Hz (at -3 dB).
Its crossover control ranges between 50 Hz and 200 Hz.
The built-in amplifier is a Class D amp that only consumes half a watt in standby mode.
The manufacturer, Snap AV, says that the amplifier uses LFEQ Technology, which basically means that it has a dual EQ system.
The unit measures approximately 12.
5" wide x 13.
1" high x 13.
7" deep and it weighs approximately 26 lbs.
Moving on, now that I've covered most of the specifications, I have to say that this subwoofer is as good as anything I've ever owned but it doesn't have the "big name status" of most well-known subwoofer brands and we all know what companies I'm speaking of.
The 200 watts is truly adequate for all but the largest of rooms.
It sounds great and I never heard any flabby-sounding bass.
I do enjoy rock and roll music, so I had plenty of opportunities to give it a good test and I was always left satisfied with its output.
Obviously, it's not comparable to a sub costing 3 times the price and I'm not suggesting that it is.
But for the cost of this unit, it would be difficult to match this performance at the selling price.
The reason for the sale is that I went to a Definitive Technology Bi-Polar speaker system whereby the main speakers have built-in subwoofers.
Please note that I put a very minor nick in the edge of the subwoofer on the right side about mid-way down from my wedding ring.
We're talking about a nick
no more than a quarter inch in length and unless you're really looking for it, you may not see it at all.
There's also a tiny white mark right towards the bottom in the front right side of the sub no more than a half-inch in length.
Again, it's quite faint and unless you know it's there, you would probably miss it.
All in all, the cosmetic condition is, in my opinion, a 9 out of 10.
This subwoofer is for pick-up only so please don't ask me to ship it.
It is for sale on eBay at a higher price that reflects shipping and packaging costs.
Also available, although not listed, is the matching Episode sub transmitter & receiver kit, ES-SUB-WIRELESS-KIT officially.
That's available, only with the purchase of the subwoofer, for an additional $50 (way below the original price).
Please do the research on this subwoofer and wireless kit if you're seriously interested; I think you'll find that this is a great deal!
