Summit Law is seeking to fill a part-time (Tuesday and Thursday) paralegal position.
The firm is dedicated to providing outstanding service to its clients in the areas of estate planning, probate/trust administration, business law, and real estate transactions.
The successful applicant should have a tenacious ability to “get things done”, but a personality that is warm and comforting to clients and coworkers.
This position is ideal for someone who embraces responsibility and will include a variety of duties.
Truly paralegal tasks would include tracking and managing probate and trust administration matters; drafting, proofreading, and finalizing documents; and preparing and recording of deeds and other instruments.
Being a small law firm, other duties would include assisting with client communication, administrative assistance, office management, and executive support.
Responsibilities:
· Interact directly with probate and trust administration clients
· Oversee and manage all trust and probate estate administration matters
· Prepare, proofread, and revise legal documents such as purchase agreements, estate plans, probate pleadings, and deeds
· Draft and mail correspondence
· File and organize legal documents using document management systems
· Open and maintain client files and databases
· Schedule appointments
· Greet clients warmly, both in person and by telephone
· Perform general clerical duties such as photocopying, scanning, and mailing documents
· Manage office supplies and operation
· Respect for and discretion with confidential and sensitive information

Preferred, but not required:
· Experience in an office or law firm setting
· Paralegal experience in the areas of estate planning, probate/trust administration, business, and/or real estate transactions
· General knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation
· Proficient in using document management systems, Word, Excel, Calendly, Clio, and other legal software
