Our internship program offers undergraduate and graduate students a hands-on and learning-intensive opportunity to gain relevant work experience in a legal environment that has earned national accolades in the collections field and recognition for the superior methods and practices to resolve even the most difficult accounts.
We have Stenger interns participate in activities that introduce them to our client base, our practice areas, and a working experience.
The Opportunity We Provide:
We offer interns the opportunity to transition from an internship to being hired full-time at the firm in an entry-level position with the potential for fast growth and career advancement.
The Legal Support Intern Will Work on The Following:
Working with a case management system – open new cases, process demand letters, and learn how to guide cases though the litigation process.
Assist on Litigation projects.
Investigate data discrepancies and provide solutions.
Assist the Legal team with interpreting case correspondence, pleadings, and notices.
Administrative tasks such as document auditing & sorting, printing, scanning, copying, enveloping, outbound mailing or other miscellaneous administrative duties.
Gather, analyze, and evaluate information from various sources such as court records, credit header data, and people location software.
Make phone contact with various sources to confirm data as need.
Update verified data in system of record.
Receive, review, and process incoming mail correspondence.
Assist on outbound mail projects and processes.
Summer Program Details:
The Stenger & Stenger 2024 Winter Intern Program is a paid internship from early May to mid-August.
All our internships are paid, starting at $18/hour.
We offer full-time or part-time internships that require you to be in the office.
Our internships are located at our Headquarters in Grand Rapids, MI.
Interns will receive any required equipment, such as computer setup.
Stenger & Stenger, PC does not offer sponsorship of job applicants for employment-based visas or any other work authorization for full time employment at this time.

Minimum Qualifications:
Must still be pursuing undergraduate or master’s degree.
To be eligible you must be currently enrolled as a full-time student (undergraduate) or part time (graduate) as defined by your university at the time of application.
Minimum Sophomore status.
Rising juniors or seniors preferred.
Preferred Degrees: Legal, Pre-Law, Political Science
Must successfully complete the background check process.
