Are you a lawyer with a passion for public safety or sports law? Foul Ball Safety Now!, founded by Jordan Skopp, is spearheading an initiative to protect baseball fans from the hazards of foul balls.
Our mission is vital: to ensure the safety of all attendees, with a particular focus on protecting the most vulnerable from preventable injuries.
We are offering a unique opportunity for lawyers interested in sports law, public safety, or civil rights to engage in meaningful legal work at a rate of $175 per hour.
Our immediate goal is to challenge minor league teams in Lansing and Grand Rapids to install protective netting before the season begins.
Position is virtual although requires lawyer to reside near Grand Rapids, MI/ Lansing, MI.
This role involves:
* Leveraging your legal skills to advocate for fan safety through the judicial system.
* Preparing and filing legal complaints based on an established and successful model, starting with a case filed by one of our affiliated lawyers on behalf of a baseball fan seeking relief from the minor league Peoria Chiefs in Illinois.
* Pursuing injunctive relief measures to ensure timely implementation of safety protocols.
