*Position Summary:*
We are seeking an individual who has vision, passion, and knowledge in the Cannabis Industry.
The Assistant General Manager will provide support to the General Manager to ensure the development and implementation of the dispensaries retail activities and be co-responsible for the overall day to day management of the retail space including staff, customer service, and sales merchandising.
The Assistant General Manager will work with staff members to delegate work tasks, engage with customers to identify their needs and answer questions about products.
*Qualifications:*
The Assistant General Manager must be organized and professional with the expectation to be outgoing and enthused while working in tandem with the General Manager to align and support several departments such as Retail Operations, Human Resources, Marketing, Compliance and Purchasing teams.
The ideal candidate will work on executing, inspiring and guiding their team while also maintaining a high standard of communication with staff members and customers.
*Job Responsibilities:*
* Direct and coach staff on a regular basis to ensure the dispensary’s excellence in sales and service.
* Promote a culture of teamwork by working alongside the management team, establishing priorities, and providing clear direction to all staff members.
* Manage and inspire internal staff to deliver the highest level of customer service.
* Review and assist the Inventory Manager and General Manager in receiving all deliveries with accuracy in accordance with company standards and state regulations.
* Assist with the cash audit nightly, including but not limited to counting down cash drawers and fulfilling change orders.
* Track various sales metrics.
* Oversee employee scheduling and attendance.
* Track employee disciplinary actions including marks against attendance, drawer, and inventory discrepancies.
* Assist with employee training and review process according to SOP’s.
* Assist in conducting inventory audits in accordance with company and state guidelines to ensure there is no diversion of inventory, and effectively respond to discrepancies.
* Maintain records for all necessary documents: delivery and inventory manifests, inventory counts and other company reports.
* Maintain a strong, professional, and communicative relationship with the corporate staff.
* Other duties may be assigned, as needed, or warranted, by upper management.
*Skills*
* Leadership and interpersonal skills.
* PO/Cash Handling system experience.
* METRC and Dutchie experience.
* Canva/Microsoft 365 experience preferred.
* Homebase/Springbig experience preferred.
* Basic knowledge of the cannabis plant and its effect on the endocannabinoid system
*Requirements:*
* Must be 21 + years old.
* Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
* Cannabis industry experience.
* Managerial experience in cannabis industry, preferred.
* Retail experience, preferred.
* Full-time availability (45 hours per week, flexible schedule)
* Evening and weekend availability required.
* Must feel comfortable addressing and engaging with the public.
* Ability to pass a background check.
* Capable of sitting, standing, squatting, kneeling, bending, or walking throughout the workday.
* Ability to push, pull or lift up to 40 lbs.
