As a CNC Operator, you will plan and develop machining processes and programs for the manufacturing of products in a 3-axis mill and assist in increasing productivity and reducing cost through productivity improvement and machine time reductions.

We use Fanuc OI-TD.
It is a DMC DL-21LMA CNC
*What you’ll be doing as a CNC Operator:*
* Perform debugging and testing of CNC programs
* Works with estimating staff to ensure timely support of company proposal effort, synchronization between sales proposal, estimating, programming, quality and manufacturing.
(ie.
# of parts per hour).
* Develop machine processes and programs for the manufacturing of products in the 3-axis mills interfacing with manufacturing engineers and production personnel.
* Write instruction sheets and tool lists to guide set-up and operation of the turning center
* Revises program to eliminate instruction errors or omissions.
* Perform cutting tools evaluations, cost analysis and new technology implementation as well analyze tooling failures.
* Cycle Time Reduction: adjusting feed and speeds, wasted machine moves, and evaluation of better cutters.
* Maintain status reports on program availability on a timely basis.
* Adheres to all workplace safety guidelines, policies, and laws determined by the company, state, and federal authorities.
* Maintain machinery and maintain a clean work environment
*Requirements:*
* 3 years’ CNC machining operation experience
*Negotiable Skills:*
* Analyze part drawings, sketches, and design data to determine dimension and configuration of cuts, selecting cutting tools, and machine speeds and feeds, according to knowledge of machine shop processes.
* Writes program of machine instructions in symbolic language to encode numerical control tape or direct numerical control database to regulate movement of machine along cutting path.
* 3 years’ CAM experience
* Proficiency with MS applications
