Scope of the Position:
The Industrial Engineer Primary responsibility is to maintain and create new floor layouts, conduct time studies, ensure line balance for new launch and complete capacity analysis reports for phased PPAP requirements.
Also assists in the development and implementation of manufacturing systems that will produce quality products at the required speed.
Salary $75,000 - $80,000
Responsibilities:
Assists with development and implementation of automated assembly systems that produce products within the required cycle time.
Assists in preproduction build event and verifies the potential to meet production thru-put requirements.
Supports new business quoting by establishing preliminary flow charts in various formats.
Attends meetings related to product development, product manufacturing concerns and all company related issues.
Assists and participates in continuous improvement efforts as needed.
Support Product Engineering in DFM.
Verification that actual process meets flow charts and process layouts.
Create new model floor layouts based on input from Manufacturing Engineers.
Revise and maintain facilities layouts.
Create and maintain capacity databases
Communicates procedures and work practices.
Exceptional organizational abilities with task prioritization, multi-tasking, use of timelines and time management techniques.
Supports development of objectives and targets.
Accepts and performs special projects as required.
Must be flexible for change and be able to work well under deadlines and manage multiple priorities
Uses Help Chain as needed.
Discusses work-place issues with all associates in a respectful manner looking for positive solutions.
Responsible for maintaining 5S standards as they relate to housekeeping in assigned work area.
Maintains compliance to company policies, work rules, safety & housekeeping standards.
Follow ISO 14001 and TS 16949 Requirements per the standard.
Other duties may be assigned by your supervisor.
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related field preferred but experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
Three - five years experience in manufacturing technology required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints, equipment manuals, technical reports and various documents related to performing duties.
Ability to communicate effectively with all company associates, vendors and customers.
Ability to generate or write various manufacturing procedures, documents and forms.
Ability to effectively present information to top management, subordinates and co-workers.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Computer literate in various windows programs.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to train others effectively in technical skills.
Ability to manage personal stress during potential varying workloads.
