Description: JOB SUMMARY Intex is seeking a reliable Engineering Manager to work within the Engineering and Operations team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following however, other duties may be assigned: · Responsible to manage the New Product Development (NPD) and coordinate all necessary projects.
This would include quotes for all new products to customers and ensure that all cost models are accurate to quote file.
· Responsible to manage the production processing methods and ensure the original process intent is satisfied throughout manufacturing.
· This position is also responsible for the development of new processes, materials, tooling, methods and maintaining all the documentation for product launch (flow charts, FMEA, control plans etc.
).
· Continuous improvement strategies that keep the company profitable, competitive, and ahead of the competition.
· Will approve all standard work documentation, and audit for effectiveness.
· Accountable for housekeeping standard implementation.
· Run capability studies and work with manufacturing on processing problems for resolution.
· Provide oversight of the tool shop department team to ensure proper methods, quality expectations, and technical support in all areas and needs.
SUPERVISORY ROLE This position will manage the Quality Engineer, engineering interns and other engineering subordinates as assigned.
Will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units.
Will carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Requirements: QUALIFICATIONS Designs, develops, and tests all aspects of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery.
Applies knowledge of engineering principles to design products such as engines, instruments, controls, robots, machines, etc.
May be involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and/or repair of mechanical products.
Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the engineering environment and knowledge of injection molding and/or foam process.
Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
Primary job functions may require exercising independent judgment.
PREFERRED SKILLS Candidates should possess a high level of professionalism, a bright attitude, and a clear ability to effectively communicate between all levels of an organization.
Effective use of problem solving tools.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Bachelor Degree with 1-3 years of experience.
MS Office proficiency is a must – strong Excel, excellent organization and communication skills.
