We are seeking Manufacturing Engineer with a patient, friendly, and positive attitude for our Grand Rapids facility.
Qualified candidates would possess the following education, skills, and abilities:
1.
Main Tasks
o Continuously analyze existing processes to identify areas for improvement in terms of costs, quality and efficiency.
o Implement optimization strategies and technologies to enhance overall process performance.
o Investigate and resolve issues related to equipment, materials and processes that may impact production efficiency or product quality.
o Develop and implement solutions to address root causes of problems and prevent future issues.
2.
Quality Assurance:
o Implement and conduct quality control measures and procedures to monitor and maintain product quality.
o Make adjustments or repairs to molds and equipment as needed to address any issues affecting production.
o Investigate and analyze the root cause of quality issues & defects and work on corrective and preventive actions to address the underlying causes and prevent recurrence.
o Work with production personal to address and rectify quality issues promptly.
3.
Maintenance and Repair
o Perform routine maintenance on molds to prolong their lifespan and optimize performance.
o Diagnose and address any issues with molds & equipment, implement repairs or modifications as necessary.
4.
Documentation
o Maintain detailed records of modifications and maintenance activities.
o Create documentation such as process descriptions, work-, process- and maintenance instructions.
5.
Qualifications
o A degree in mold making, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
o Strong understanding of injection molding and assembly processes.
o Proficiency in CAD software, mold making and automatization equipment.
o Ability to identify and address issues related to production processes.
o Attention to detail: Precision is crucial throughout the injection molding and assembly process to ensure the quality of the final product.

o Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
o Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
o Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and documentation.
