Summary As the Field Maintenance Technician for World Fuel Services, you will be responsible for a broad range of mechanical and electronic installation, diagnostics, repair, and maintenance activities at our cardlock sites, which involves fuel tanks and computer electronics equipment used in supplying and managing our customers’ petroleum product needs and maintaining on-board truck computer equipment for the World Fuel Services fleet of delivery trucks.
This position requires that you MUST be able to work remotely (indoors and outdoors) at any time and travel within a specified geographical area in a company-owned service vehicle to perform the job requirements.
Key Responsibilities Assess equipment to accurately diagnose and repair issues.
Liaise with clients to determine their equipment requirements and communicate any defects or problems.
Keep an accurate log of all work performed.
Maintain and clean garage, equipment, and tools to ensure they are kept in a safe and usable condition at all times.
Assist guests when needed.
Adhere to company work safety policies and OSHA regulations.
Conduct monthly site inspections.
Perform other duties as assigned (painting, general building repairs, etc.
).
Requirements, Competencies and Certifications Effectively uses time; anticipates obstacles, adjusts priorities as needs change and keeps others informed of progress.
Great organizational skills with the proven ability to multitask and to “do what it takes” to get the job done.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, including critically evaluating information gathered from multiple sources.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with all levels in the organization.
Adhere to local, state, and federal regulations.
Minimum Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent or relatable work experience.
Valid Michigan driver’s license.
