GMB is currently seeking a full time, direct hire Construction Administrator to fill a role on our project teams.
Our ideal candidate is an experienced Construction Administrator with a passion for educational design, and at least eight (8) years of relevant skills and experience.

Will you join us?
As a Construction Administrator at GMB you will:
Perform on site observations/inspections and document the results relative to the contractor's conformance with contract documents.
Oversee the day to day administration of construction contracts in accordance with the Owner-Architect agreement.
Facilitate timely communication between the owner, contractor, architect and consultants.
Develop written field reports and complete project punch lists.
Simultaneously manage personal schedule on multiple projects of different scope.
Regional travel required.
What type of knowledge do I need to succeed in this role?
More than a specific degree and exact number of years of experience, we're most excited about what kind of knowledge you bring.
For this role, we are seeking someone with experience utilizing their related skills and can work independently but might still need support for more complex skills.
Some components that may help indicate you are at this knowledge milestone include more tangible measures like:
8 + years of field experience managing construction projects, running jobs, and/or leading crews on site.
Strong background in a variety of construction types, MEP building systems and a good understanding of construction documents, specifications, materials and processes/methods required
Ability to operate a motor vehicle for extended periods
Thorough knowledge of all construction industry trades and construction documentation
What might set you apart from other candidates?
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or an equivalent degree field
Experience with K-12 and higher education with large projects from $100k to $100 Million
Knowledge of all building systems, including plumbing, electrical, mechanical and structural systems.
Strong leadership and client relation skills
Excellent problem-solving skills as well as an appreciation and sensitivity for architectural design intent
Positive attitude with proven proficiency of working collaboratively and effectively within a team setting including architects, contractors, owners, consultants and vendors.
