Position Description: Manufacturing support position with responsibilities focused on pre-shift activities, maintaining workstation supplies, packaging, scanning, and performing machine Operator duties during break periods.
Primary Responsibilities Essential Functions: -Provide disposition and coordinate questionable parts generated on their shift…could be scrapping, or reworking parts -Coordinate shift efforts among ROs to optimize each Associate’s workflow -Move required packaging and components from staging area to appropriate work (or staging) areas -Scan finished product to proper electronic location -Assemble packaging for use at workstation(s) as required -Verify completed product carton labels for accuracy -Re-stock unused packaging/component inventory at job shut down -Participate in job startup 1st piece approval activities -Generate Production labels as needed in preparation for your oncoming shift -Enter Shift Reports into ABAS -Clean work areas and empty trash containers -Ability to backfill in Supervisor’s absence Additional Responsibilities: -Maintain adequate supply of cartons/pallets for use at work areas -Maintain proper staged quantities of packaging and components to support the following shift -Maintain identification and organization of scrap containers located at manufacturing machines, as needed -Perform product/process inspections as required by Operator/Relief Operator Quality Check Sheet -Perform Operator tasks during Operator’s break periods -Assist in the training of new Associates, as needed -Participate in internal problem solving/improvement activities, as needed -Other duties as assigned by supervision Other Requirements: -All employees are responsible for complying with the safety policies and procedures -Lifting shoulder high up to 60 lbs.
repetitively -Effective communication skills -Working in a non-climate-controlled environment -Work requires repetitive motion activities including but not limited to box cutting, standing, lifting, pushing/pulling, bending, and loading/unloading -Perform basic math functions – addition, subtraction, multiplication, division.
