The Network Engineer will be part of a team responsible for maintaining a complex infrastructure.
This position will provide an exciting mix of implementing new technologies in addition to maintaining the existing infrastructure.
UFP is looking for a seasoned Network Engineer with a strong focus on complex IP networking and data center design.
The ideal candidate has a passion for creative design and out-of-the-box thinking when it comes to solving challenges.
They can work collaboratively across multiple teams (technical and non-technical) to find the right solution or be willing to expand their understanding to get to the right solution.
Works under general supervision; relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals; and requires a certain degree of creativity and autonomy to perform the job.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Interpret business objectives and translate into technical requirements for network design and implementation.
Design/Architect resilient, fault tolerant, network architectures that provide a stable and consistent business experience.
Design/Architect networks with security best practices and enforcing proper segmentation for various applications and uses.
Install, configure, deploy, and validate, LAN, WAN, WLAN, and security designs.
Maintain and operate firewall policies and NAC policies to ensure best practices and proper network segmentation.
Develop and maintain processes and procedures to drive efficiency for internal business teams.
Develop and leverage network automation to drive efficiency and standardization.
Assist Engineers with scope of work definition.
Create and maintain network documentation.
Configure and maintain network monitoring tools.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Specifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or equivalent is required
5 years Network Engineering experience
Proficient in documenting technical processes and procedures
Ability to work and manage relationships with multiple vendors
Experience of network engineering in medium to large enterprises
Experience with routing, switching, wireless, firewall, load balancing, DNS, public and private peering, VXLAN, NAC.
Experience with the following routing protocols: BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, as well as protocol redistribution and route policies.
Experience with the following manufacturers: Cisco, Arista, Palo Alto, Citrix.
Experience diagnosing and resolving network performance issues.
Experience or knowledge with Python, Ansible, Cisco NDFC, Cisco ISE, Arista Cloudvision, Panorama, Versa, is a plus.
Skills and abilities
Proficiency in the use of the English language in reading, writing and speaking

Ability to adapt to new network environments and use your current knowledge to maintain and troubleshoot unfamiliar systems
