*Position summary:*
The Senior Software Engineer will design and develop embedded software for vehicle access products.
They will be responsible for mentoring and guiding less skilled software engineers, they will be looked upon to be subject matter experts.
They will help drive the mission and vision of the electronics department with both internal and external customers.
*Primary Responsibilities:*
1.
Support and mentor junior engineers as a technical leader through training, reviews and
collaboration.
2.
Work directly with customers and suppliers to develop and manage designs, requirements, specifications, etc.
3.
Participate in Agile Scrum teams through sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, sprint reviews and daily standups.
4.
Quoting new programs through estimation of hours, costs for tools and licenses by engaging with our internal team and our supply base.
5.
Support engineering in new product development and managing lessons learned.
6.
Write C Code to meet functional and technical specifications.
7.
Perform peer reviews on all artifacts during the lifecycle of a project.
8.
Code compliance to MISRA-C, CERTC and ADAC coding guidelines.
9.
Create and maintain software architecture and detail designs.
10.
Support Test Lab functional test requirements.
11.
Support manufacturing regarding inline product testing methods, specifications and equipment
selection.
12.
Investigate alternative suppliers of electronic content for non-directed-buy suppliers for future
products.
13.
Evaluate, assess and troubleshoot electronics content contained in core product base.
*MUST HAVE SKILLS/ Education & Experience:*
1.
Bachelor of Computer or Electrical Engineering, Bachelor of Computer Science or
related field
2.
Software Project Leadership is preferred
3.
Software design experience is preferred
4.
7+ years of automotive experience is preferred
5.
Ability to launch and lead software development without supervision
6.
Ability to work with Global Teams
7.
7 years MINIMUM, and incredibly well versed in configuring entire projects in AUTOSAR (Vector preferred), and Software architecture tradeoff analysis in AUTOSAR.
8.
Experience with ADAS
