Pay Type: Seasonal, Hourly, Non-Exempt (January - June)
Position Summary: Responsible for day-to-day guest service functions performed at the Credentialing Desk, and other public-facing areas at Frederik Meijer Garden & Sculpture Park.
Essential Functions
Create a positive, best-in-class experience for all guests, volunteers, and fellow employees
Lead the efforts of the Credentialing, Front Desk, and Information including proper validation of all guests coming through the building with both online and onsite tickets
Troubleshoot problems and answer questions related to online tickets, membership and admission entitlements
Assist in training volunteers and staff in procedures at the Credentialing Desk and keep them informed of ongoing events, activities, exhibitions and internal procedures and changes
Perform all functions for guests associated with front desk software
Provides guests emergency assistance as needed and outlined in policies and procedures
Responds to guest questions and concerns in a friendly, diplomatic, and empathetic manner.
Communicate confidently, courteously, and knowledgably in various channels
Promote, sell, and process memberships and gift cards
Responsible for accurate cash, check and credit cards transaction processing
Other duties as assigned

Education and / or Qualifications
Experience:
1-2 years direct customer experience
1-2 years experience using mobile technology
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Skills/Knowledge/Licenses:
Basic knowledge of guest relations
Basic verbal and written communication skills
Working Conditions: Must be able to remain in a stationary position during shift.
Ability to observe details at close range and communicate information accurately with others.
Occasionally move objects with or without accommodations and must move around to access resources.
Occasionally moves objects weighing up to 20 pounds regularly.
Indoor office environment must be able to operate computers, printers, and other office equipment as necessary.
Basic mobility is expected in offices, grounds, and exhibition areas.
Needs to occasionally move about the office to access resources.
May be required to work under inclement weather conditions occasionally
